Personally, I have no problem with women posing nude or nearly nude regardless of what role they have in society...athlete, model, actress, police officer, army/military, firefighter, politician, or even fucking president of the United States.
My frustration actually comes from some of the responses and comments following the articles.
I agree it is her choice to pose. It's your choice to purchase the magazine. But as a role model for my child, no it would not be something I would want my daughter to think is acceptable, or my sons. We know Muscians, Stars, and Athletes are strong role models for our youth.
NOTE TO ALL Mothers and Fathers:
YOU need to be a role model for your child. Teach them right from wrong...show them the standard of morals and values and ethics that YOU want to hand down the genetic line.
The thing is that the "musicians, stars, and athletes" that you speak of...they didn't ask to be in that position...that concept doesn't exist by default. Parents simply don't have the balls to take responsibility for their childs' failures and futures. They need that easy out to ease their own guilt.
It's a shame too, because these children ARE the future. And we fucking owe them that.
