From my girl, Jess, at her wordpress blog...
Spread before you like legs of an aging whore, weakened with the passage of cruel time, the rigor of disease, and the tribulations of many a long-standing addiction is the chapter that comes next in your story
And while the pages lie untouched, a blanket of white like long winter’s front yards, and your ink is still wet thick blackness drying hurriedly after dripping from the end of your quill still at rest,
The tone is made sinister already, for the narrator knows of the author’s misfortune and the threats that sit crouched ready to pounce upon your mental fortitude,
Knows as the dealer of the decks of the fates,
as the binder of spells,
as the reader of runes….
These are the blinding unknowns that lie in wait like salivating pigs, hungry at your feet
The salamanders waiting beneath your foundations with Scorpion Bellies and Demon Screams.
Drink responsibly and be sure to play at your own risk.
