If I believed in the existence of a 'hell' and/or 'the devil,' methamphetamine would be its' creator and sovereign. They say that every addict has one substance that trumps all others. Meth was mine. Everything else...take it or leave it, but that one I had to move across country to Texas to get myself clean of that shit. Detox is the hardest part of it all for me, and I knew that I didn't have a prayer unless I got away from the people and places that gave me access to it. Got through that, moved back to Georgia, and I'm proud to say that I've been clean for 2 years. The craving, however, never goes away.
