Vasectomy at 28: One man's decision

So Toby Byrum decided that he didn't want to have any children--now or in the future.

It boils down to his opinion that the ideal wife, children, house, and picket fence aren't necessarily ingredients to a happy and fulfilling life. He also didn't preserve any sperm just in case he changed his mind later in life.

"For me, it’s an ultimate decision, and therefore I did not want an escape hatch."


Personally, I agree with his opinion, and I respect him for having the conviction to say it on a national television broadcast that will likely ignite some controversy from family-oriented organizations. Every person's ideal is different
